Rodent Control

Rodents

Rats
Apart from the damage that rats can cause by gnawing through pipes, cables and building fabric, they are also carriers of a number of harmful diseases and food borne illnesses including Salmonella, Weils Disease (Leptospirosis), E-Coli, Campylobacter-Entiritis and Shigella (Dysentry).

Their droppings and fur poses a significant hazard of contamination of food products and food preparation and storage areas. Because they are incontinent they also urinate everywhere they go.

Mice
Mice cause significant damage by gnawing through pipes, cables and building fabric. Although they pose less of a danger than rats from disease they are still a significant hazard in the transmission of some food-borne illnesses and pathogenic bacteria (such as Salmonella, Campylobacter-Entiritis and Shigella (Dysentry).

Like rats their droppings and fur poses a significant hazard of contamination of food products and food preparation and storage areas. Because they are incontinent they also urinate everywhere they go.

Squirrel

Grey Squirrels
Grey Squirrels, in contrast to the native red squirrel which is protected, are a significant pest. They readily enter roof spaces, often gnawing their way in through wooden facia boards, soffits and even through leadwork. They are very destructive often damaging water pipes and electric cables.
