Feral Cat [Family Felidae]

Although some of these animals will be strays, many are actually animals born into the wild. As a result they are often shy and very difficult to handle/aggressive.

Fertile females in any group will produce two litters each year of up to 8 young. Feral cats generally carry fleas and can be vectors of human parasites and diseases such as toxoplasmosis.

Their courting and fighting can be very noisy and frightening. Toms urine spray to mark their territories producing very offensive smells. Their presence in and around hospitals and food factories contravenes hygiene regulations.
